Venn Diagram of Media Literacy and Information Literacy #OralCommunication

Good day, Senior High school Students! 

                  Before discussing about Media and Information Literacy, let's have an analysis of it's terms. Here's a Venn diagram that shows similarities and differences of Media Literacy and Information Literacy. 

                  Media literacy is the ability to access, analyze and create media and media messages. It is about the consumption of information using communication tools for human interaction, Its main focus is institutional, media and audience effect of media messages. On the other hand, Information Literacy is the ability to recognize information when needed and use it efficiently. It is about utilizing the efficiency of Information and its main focus is the textual analysis itself.  Both Media Literacy and Information literacy spreads information around the people in different types of media. It keeps individuals up-to-date relevant and timely information allowing for proper organization enabling them  to interpret and make informed judgments.Groups and individuals for the grant discernment for what is considered to be valid information through logical and factual scanning. Last but not the least, Media and Information Literacy is the essential competencies and skills that allow citizens to engage with media and other information providers effectively and develop critical thinking and lifelong learning skills and socialize and become active citizens (UNESCO, MIL Curriculum for teachers)
